Citrus Basil Tuna Steaks

This simple marinated Gulf of Maine tuna recipe is as easy as it gets. The fresh marinade allows the quality tuna to shine through.  

Citrus Basil Marinade Ingredients:

2 lb bluefin tuna steaks
Juice & zest of 1 naval orange
Juice & zest of 1 lemon
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
1/4 tsp salt
Black pepper to taste
Canola oil, for grilling


  1. Whisk all ingredients together in a shallow bowl. 

  2. Marinate tuna for 2 hours.

  3. Grill over high heat (be sure to oil grill with a high smoke point oil), approx 3 minutes per side depending on thickness of tuna steak.
