Our response to COVID-19

Update: Due to the business impact of COVID-19, updates to our operational hours are as follows:

Portland, Maine: Every day, 12pm - 7 pm

Dear Luke’s Lobster Community,

In this time of uncertainty, we wanted to reach out and share our ongoing commitment to the health, safety, and welfare of our team, our guests, and our communities, including the fishermen we work with.

We are following all CDC recommended best practices for food safety preparations and minimizing the spread of COVID-19, including a requirement that teammates who do not feel well stay home. We operate a FDA certified and SQF III audited seafood plant in Maine, so being being food safe and sanitary is always an extreme focus to our team.

Our intention is for our shacks to remain open, clean, sanitized and welcoming.  If you feel healthy and up for a treat, we welcome you to join us. If you've made the decision to avoid public spaces, including restaurants, we respect that and want you to know that we've initiated some procedures to allow us to still serve you, and to remind of you of other options to enjoy Luke's that are always available:

1. Sidewalk pickup: If you're leaving home but avoiding restaurants, you can place your order through our online system, or just by calling our shack. We'll prepare it for you, and if you call us when you're arriving, whether by foot or vehicle, we will bring your order out to you in a stapled shut bag for you to take with you. You can find our online order site here, and the address and phone number for every shack on our location page.

2. Home delivery: We offer delivery to your home in every one of our cities except Portland. Our delivery options in each city are listed below, and you have contactless options (the option to tell your delivery person to leave food at the door) for Postmates by filling out the 'delivery instructions' field in your order, or for Grubhub and our own online ordering site by asking your driver to leave your food at the door when they call you.

3. DIY Kits: Finally, we want to make sure you know that we offer DIY lobster roll kits on all our delivery channels, as well as for pickup in shack or for sidewalk pick up. These give you all the ingredients you need to make two rolls just like you'd get in the shack, but at your leisure in the comfort of your own home. Just look for DIY kits on our online order site, your delivery site of choice, or ask for them by phone or in the shack.

5. For Luke's at home, pick up our Lobster Tail or Meat Kits at your nearest Whole Foods or order our Seafood by the Pound directly from our shacks.
